National research programmes are approved by the Federal Council for scientific research on urgent problems of national importance. Well-conducted implementation aims not only at appropriate communication of the results of research projects to the public but also at supporting utilisation of the results in research, government, and society.
Implementation furthers networking among the researchers, communicates the research findings effectively to crucial actors, and helps to ensure that the findings inform the discussion and, finally, are utilised in the world of practice.
NRP 57 addresses the following target groups primarily: people in practice and in government, researchers, the media, the interested public, and the NRP 57 Steering Committee and researchers.
Following completion of the research projects, NRP 57 will compile a synthesis that will present an overview of the programme and important results, examined critically in the international context.
